Tonight I dropped Chas off as Tae Kwon Do practice and took the other two kids up to the local Subway to grab some sandwiches... Spencer was very upset that I wouldn't leave him at the Doling Family Center to watch Chas.  I tried to explain why he had to come with me by telling him that I couldn't leave him without supervision and that Chas at least had some supervision cause he was in a class.  Spencer was quiet for a moment and finally stated, "Well, he doesn't have super hearing like me" 

We've all heard about the "terrible twos"... those horrid little toddlers that scream and cry all the time and whose guilty parents give them whatever they want.... well forget that!  I recently had the pleasure of  keeping my cousin's baby (a two-year-old) for several days.  It was absolutely the most positive experience I've had with a child that age EVER! 

I have to give a shout out to my cousin, Sara, for the wonderful job she is doing raising her baby girl... not only does she hold down a full time job but due to the unfortunate circumstances that ended in her husband being deported to Kenya, she is also raising this godly little child pretty much as a single parent.  Alicia is amazing... she is articulate, carrying on an enjoyable conversation even at her tender age.  She is also obedient but not in the sense that she stops when you say "no" but in the sense that she knows the limits and respects them!  I never had to gripe at her and what's more... she's fully potty trained!  I honestly don't know how Sara did it... I was a stay-at-home mom when my kids were that young and I never accomplished that feat!  I have to speculate that it is a combination of total dedication on Sara's part and brillance on Alicia's part... honestly this child is so so smart!  I think my favorite thing about her though is how she loves to sing about Jesus!  You better believe little sister's got soul and FAITH!  I pray daily for her that she will always love Jesus and accept Him as her savior one day.  I also pray that her daddy, John, will be permitted to come back to the USA and be reunited with his loving family who miss him so much!
