The timing could not have been more perfect.  Chris and I had several days off together and just as we were dropping the kids off at school the first fluffly flakes began to float gently to the ground.  All day it  kept coming until we had just enough to cover the ground!  School let out early, as is the usual way here in Springfield when we get threatened with even a half inch of snow accumulation!  The kids were thrillled and we thoroughly enjoyed watching them roll around and play in the freezing powder.  After we warmed their hands and filled their bellies we spent the afternoon making oragami animals.
