4月25日 Countdown!I haven't been very good about updating this blog... or any blog for that matter but much has been going on!
Top of the list would be that Abby was baptized at church on the 15th! She really had to take a step of faith to do this and she waited two years to take it but in the end it was her decision! She was thrilled to have her teacher from school show up to support her decision for Christ... it really meant a lot to all of us! We were so proud to watch her go through the "New Christians Class" and learn about all the important things that we do as demonstrations of our faith. It is humbling to see how committed she is to God at such a young age. We will always pray that she does not lose that love for Christ!
Chas also attended the "New Christians Class" with Abby as he had not received any type of discipleship after his salvation several years ago... he enjoyed it too and has started to take an interest in bringing his friends to Christ! It really amazes me how children can share their faith so boldly.
Spencer recently participated in his very first school musical. He was the letter T in a short play about the Alphabet. It was a lot of fun to watch and of course we got some pics!
All three of the kids are getting geared up to start baseball practice in the next week or two. Of course it's crunch time for me... I still have 32 hours to complete at the hospital in order to graduate but I'm sure we'll work it all in somehow!
Tomorrow I will be going in to have an Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)... now say that three times fast! Actually it's a pretty simple procedure where they send a scope down my throat to take a biopsy for testing. We are hoping to rule out Celiac disease and see if I have an ulcer so that we can start treating the problem instead of the symptoms! I'm a little nervous being the patient instead of the nurse... it's a role I'm not comfortable with!
Chris is still doing well on his medication... he goes in for a check up on Friday.
It looks like the weather finally decided to turn in our favor after a very chilly Easter complete with an egg hunt done indoors! We still had fun! Now that spring is officially here we are enjoying the warmth and airing out the house before it gets so hot we have to turn on the A/C!
The countdown is on! Only 24 days until I graduate! Every minute takes an hour! |
